A little about me…

I have always had a desire for creating, making and designing. Learning and exploring the many different art mediums over the years is what I love about this journey. Drawing, painting and photography classes began back in high school. In college, I took as many art classes I could fit into my BA Literature degree. After college I got married and started my career in advertising. It really wasn’t until after my second child was born did I pick up a brush. I found a class and studied watercolor with Paton Hunter. While my kids were young I painted several murals, sets for various productions, helped friends the with interior design of their homes and was a commission artist that painted home portraits. In 2009, I found my preferred medium of acrylics under the teaching of Kerry Didday. I entered several shows of the International Society of Acrylic Painters and received Juried awards for years of 2010,2011,2012 and 2015. In 2017, I had an opportunity to create gift-able block art for the retail store, Marion’s, where I work. My little CM Art business began! It started with Christmas art and has since expanded to Florida/local art and Christian faith based art. Working only few days a week at the store where I sell my art, I now have more time to paint and explore design of all kinds! For me, there is always amazing things to learn and challenge myself with. I feel very blessed to have a wonderfully supportive family, sweet friends and most of all my faith!
